
Our courses are postgraduate and are open to all qualified osteopaths, whether or not they are registered on the Pathway. However, the entry criteria for the modules depend on your previous experience in osteopathy in the cranial field, as set out below.
Accreditation of Prior Learning:
If you have previously attended recognised courses in osteopathy in the cranial field you may apply for advanced placement on the pathway.
STAGE ONE
Entry level 1: Module 1
Osteopaths who have not had approved formal basic teaching in the concept at undergraduate or postgraduate level.
Entry level 2: Module 2
Osteopaths who have had approved formal basic teaching in the concept at undergraduate or postgraduate level are exempt Module 1 and start the pathway with Module 2.
Entry level 3: Module 3
Osteopaths who can demonstrate that they have achieved the equivalent of Module 2 training are exempt Module 2 and start the pathway with Module 3.
Module 4:
can be taken at any time after completing Module 1.
STAGE TWO
Modules 5-9
Once Module 3 has been completed, Modules 5-9 can be completed in any order, and on any time scale. They allow topics covered in Stage One to be explored in greater depth. More complex diagnostic and treatment approaches are introduced in these modules.
