Support Groups

The learning process is continuous, and not simply confined to attendance on a course. It is recognised that considerable personal change and development is required in learning this work, and that some form of support is essential.

Supporting students in training is the essence of our work, but asking for help is not easy and a student will often not know what help he/she needs. Talking to someone else is an essential step. Often the difficult problems are not intellectual ones but rather are about inhibitions that have been put on our natural tendency for free exploration and experiment. Remember that your progress now is the key to the future of this work that we are all engaged in.

Throughout the pathway SCC tutors will be available to help and advise. If you experience particular difficulties, the Pathway Coordinator should be contacted for help. The SCC Office can put you in touch with a mentor and is available to aid the formation of study groups by putting students in touch with each other on request.
